One of its striking features is the state-of-the-art clear glass bridge walkway, which connects parallel vertical towers so that, from the outside, the structure perfectly resembles a giant picture frame.

Since opening in 2018, Dubai Frame has become a cultural landmark that connects the Dubai’s past with its present. This must-see attraction for tourists and residents alike is located in Zabeel Park and is a magnificent architectural structure.

With panoramic views, visitors to the Dubai Frame can gaze out upon every aspect of the city from a height of 150m. From Deira’s historic streets and souks and the sparkling waters of the Arabian Gulf, to the vast dunes of the Arabian desert and high rises of Dubai Marina, the entirety of Dubai is visible from the Frame’s 360-degree vantage point.

Step onto a glass bridge

The Dubai Frame features a state-of-the-art clear glass bridge as the crowning cross-frame of the structure. The 93m-long bridge features a 25sqm glass panel and connects the two parallel vertical towers to create the picture frame shape. Stepping onto the crystal-clear glass gives an exhilarating feeling of walking out into thin air, with a drop of 150m visible just beneath your feet. Feeling nervous? There’s nothing to fear as the clear glass is completely crack-proof and made of the highest-quality materials.

Architectural Marvel

There is literally nothing like Dubai’s Museum of the Future anywhere else in the world. Located right on Sheikh Zayed Road – the city’s main highway, this singular building, an asymmetric torus clad in steel and glass, has been recognised by the National Geographic as one of 14 most beautiful museums in the worlds.

What lies beneath the surface, however, may be even more impressive than the museum’s striking exterior.

The architect’s vision

The Museum of the Future’s design comes from architect Shaun Killa, a long-time veteran of Dubai’s architecture sector. The museum was his first commission after striking out on his own. According to Killa, the design of the museum aims to represent Dubai’s vision of the future, and consists of three main elements: the hill, the structure, and the void.

“The green hill represents the earth, with solidity, permanence, and rootedness in place, time and history…The glimmering, futuristic upper building represents mankind, with all of its strength, artistry and ability to create in harmony with its surroundings,” Killa’s design agency explains. “Lastly, the elliptical void within the upper structure represents innovation. This is done primarily by creating an empty space showing the unwritten future into which humanity, and the world, can symbolically look towards.”
