The Best Phuket Trip

beautiful beach with calm blue waters

If you’re an adventure seeker, Phuket is the right place for you.

PHUKET

in 2014, I had the chance to quickly spent couple of days in Phuket, If you’re planning  getaway trip to Phuket, you’re going to have to find a lot of things to fill up your itinerary with.

Luckily for you, Phuket, an island in Southern Thailand, has plenty of things to see and enjoy.

I have put together an exciting itinerary for your 3 days in Phuket.

What to do in Phuket?

The list of things to do in Phuket goes way beyond the beaches

Wat Chalong, the Big Buddha, Phang Nga Bay, James Bond island and the old streets of Phuket Town are just the most popular.

The island is relatively small and easy to explore in a day or two, and most attractions are just a short tuk-tuk ride away.

If this is not enough, speedboats and ferries will take you to the famous Koh Phi Phi, Coral island and the fantastic Similan archipelago

Beaches and Islands

There are so many islands with incredible scenery as well as activities to take part in such as diving, snorkeling, canoeing, and fishing.

Just walk up and down Bangla Walking Street at night, and you will instantly understand why it is so popular.

Everyone is there: guys, girls, couples and even families with kids. And why not? Patong has rooftop bars, beach clubs and world-class nightclubs. For many, it’s a once in a lifetime party experience (once a year for some).

For others, it’s mostly a curiosity to tick off their Phuket must-do list and something to talk about once back home. Just look at the crowd staring at sexy and very feminine ladyboys dancing on a street stage in a very tiny outfit, and you’ll get the picture, literally. And don’t forget to close your mouth.

The beaches of Phuket

Phuket counts more than 30 amazing beaches.
Most beaches in the north are peaceful, and some hidden beaches are still secret.

The most famous and busiest beaches are in the southwest of the island:
Patong beach, Kata beach and Karon beach can be bustling during the high season.

So take the time to drive around and discover the beauty of the remote Naithon, Nai Yang and Mai Khao beaches near the International airport.

Phuket Big Buddha

The Phuket Big Buddha is a 45-metre-tall white marble statue visible from anywhere in the southern part of Phuket. This impressive landmark is probably at the top of everyone’s ‘Must-Do in Phuket‘, and it is indeed a jaw-dropping site, and the panoramic views from up there are breathtaking. Koh Samui always had a very popular Giant Buddha, and it seems that Phuket wanted to have a bigger one.

The statue is built with people’s donations and is still under construction. If you want to help finish the construction, you can sponsor a white marble piece for 300 or 1,000 baht, depending on the tile’s size. At this time, the Buddha is complete, but the sweeping staircase is still under construction.

Phuket’s Infamous FantaSea Show

Phuket FantaSea is located in the south of Phuket about 7kms from Patong and is known to be the nighttime cultural theme park.

This park is widely spread throughout 60 acres, having a great street to do some shopping, two themed buffet restaurants that offer Thai and international food and also host a cultural theatrical show.

To break it down, It is essentially a theme park that portrays the culture and lifestyle of locals in Phuket with modern technology. This place would mainly interest people who want to learn and know more about the different cultures of the world.
A place that is meant to entertain you and your kids for almost an entire day with the theatrical safari, Gaming centres, and a shopping street apart from the world-famous performance “Fantasy of a Kingdom”.
